RAKDCA Proudly Celebrates UAE Civil Aviation Day
The UAE Civil Aviation Day is celebrated on 5th October
of every year, which has been adopted by the UAE cabinet as ‘UAE Civil Aviation Day’ in
order to create awareness and provide continuous support for the development
and progress of the aviation community in UAE.
H.E. Engr. Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al-Qasimi,
Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation and Ras Al Khaimah International
Airport, board member of General Civil Aviation Authority & RAK Executive
Council, congratulated H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri - Minister of Economy, Chairman of the GCAA Board and Saif
Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General– UAE General Civil
Aviation Authority on the 8th anniversary of the UAE Civil Aviation
day, which was initiated on October 5th 2014.
“Post
Covid world has recovered with travel returning to normal. We are welcoming
travelers and new business set-ups with enthusiasm that can only be compared to
the overall growth that is quite significant. This is only to show that we are
committed to connecting globally with more and more sectors every day. Regulations
and policies have been reviewed in the light of changing industry dynamics
which has led to better safety, hygiene and security measures. I would
like to take this opportunity to congratulate His
Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler
of Ras Al-Khaimah and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown
Prince of Ras Al-Khaimah for taking massive strides in the development
of major tourism and business ease initiatives ensuring our beautiful emirate’s
overall success”, he stated.
