Department of Civil Aviation, Ras Al-Khaimah obtains the ISO Certificate (ISO 50001: Energy Management Systems)
Department of Civil Aviation, Ras Al-Khaimah
announced its success of applying the energy management system and obtaining a
certificate of conformity and compliance with the international standard ISO
(ISO 50001:2018 - Energy Management System). This was achieved by the
department’s commitment in applying energy management systems and enhancing
their efficiency and raising the employees' level of awareness to conserve
energy and maintain its sustainability.
This makes the Department of Civil Aviation, Ras Al-Khaimah among the
first entities to obtain this certificate in the Emirate, which was presented
at the closing ceremony of the "Ras Al-Khaimah Energy Summit",
organized by the Ras Al-Khaimah Municipality.
H.E. Engr. Sheikh Salem Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the
Department of Civil Aviation and Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, board
member of General Civil Aviation Authority & Ras Al Khaimah Executive
Council praised and appreciated the outstanding
efforts of the Energy Team as well as employees for their achievement by submitting
all requirements as per international standards to obtain the certification.
