5th October 2023
The
UAE Civil Aviation Day is celebrated on 5th October of every year,
which has been adopted by the UAE
cabinet as ‘UAE Civil Aviation Day’ in order to create awareness and provide
continuous support for the development and progress of the aviation community
in UAE.
From the first

Pakistan, UAE Aviation has flourished and the sector now employs hundreds of
thousands of people (both directly and indirectly) and contributes almost
AED200bn equivalent to 37% of the GDP of UAE.
It
signifies the progress and achievements of the aviation sector to date,
celebrating the history of aviation in the UAE, as well as looking to the
future of the industry.
The day also marks
the launch of the Future of Aviation in Emirati Hands initiative in conjunction
with UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), which will focus on providing
comprehensive awareness in the field of aviation and introduce to the Emirati
students the specializations and jobs available in the field. They will also be
guided to esteemed institutions where they can study and gain specialization
within the aviation spectrum.
An event was organized on Thursday, 5th October 2023 by
